FACTORY 311 // THE UK´S NEW EMERGING WORLD POWER
I know how hungry you are for something new, something edible and full of flavour, something substantial. There's this new powerful agency currently emerging in the UK, an agency that has taken some of the worlds best street artists and mixed them together into a new creation... Factory 311. Although 311 started out strictly as a spraycan-art outfit, it has begun opening its doors to other influential media, such as design, fashion, photography and film, and now this agency holds an impressive portfolio ranging from Carhartt to the Bread & Butter trade show. We asked director Nicholas Hardy a few questions about how everything started...
"311 came out of nowhere, after the success of working with our main artist Belin (Worlds Best when it comes to photo-realism). We traveled to 8 different countries as part of our 2007 Urban Art Tour. When we got back, we started to receive calls from the likes of Tasso, who was very interested in us representing him out in España. I think from that moment things really started to roll as some of our favourite artists started to take notice and listen to what we had to say! Our strong relationship with Montana Colors has enabled is to attempt huge mural projects, as their support has always been incredible! Our first 311 Mural was at Bread & Butte, Jan 07, where we brought 3 of our artists together to create an impressively large masterpiece. This was truly a great place to start with one of our mural projects and subsequently has made some dreams come true for our artists, like Belin, who was then able to paint with his hero... TASSO!
Now with over 8 Urban Artists, including, Belin, Sat One, The Mac, Tasso, Case, Mitchy Bwoy, Mhrywan & Rabodiga. we have a strong enough foundation to push the boundaries and limits"
