Jamie Nelson was raised in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She moved to California to attend Brooks Institute where she received her bachelor's degree in photography. Her work can be seen in publications such as InStyle (Germany), Plaza, WestEast, Victim, Zink, Highlights, aRUDE, Blend, Blink, Display, Kurv, RWD, and H. Her recent clients include Olay, Make Up For Ever, Physician's Formula Cosmetics, Warner Brothers, Disney, and La Gran Via Shoes.

She has also been featured in a group exhibition in Rome as well as a recent exhibition for the New Museum and Chandelier Creative in New York City. The last two years she has been awarded placement in the prestigious Graphis Photography Annual. She currently works out of New York City with her long time team of makeup artist, hair stylist, wardrobe stylist, and art director.
